Reports to: Houston-based Project Manager
Location: Various US Locations (Currently Lake Charles, LA, Houston, TX, and Beaumont, TX)
NB: Positions are part-time, contract positions only. You must be currently living within commuting distance of the corporate location where classes are held.
General Description:
?Deliver competency-based language instruction to groups and individuals of Fortune 500 companies at the client work site. Trainees include employees and dependents. Work in a virtual team with a curriculum-based best practices, experiential learning.
?Utilize initial needs assessment of each trainee and class, preliminary objectives, recommended methods and materials from World Learning for Business, and other pertinent data.
?Teaching hours are variable - 4 to 16 hours per week. Most assignments are to 60 hour, leveled, group sizes of 3 to 9. Most classes will be in morning hours.
?Report to On-Site Houston Project Manager and receive training support from World Learning Language Training Supervisors located in Brattleboro, Vermont or other remote locations.
?Maintain accurate records of trainee attendance and other pertinent data.
Required Qualifications:
?Bachelor's degree or equivalent
?Native or near-native fluency (ACTFL Superior rating) in the target language
?English fluency
?Verifiable experience in teaching target language
?Intercultural experience (e.g. residence abroad)
?Active membership in professional/educational/training organization (i.e., ACTFL, SIETAR, ASCD, ASTD) and recent attendance at professional conferences in related fields (e.g. Northeast Conference on Foreign Language Teaching, state foreign language conferences)

Trainer must be able to:
?Design experiential, trainee-centered lessons
?Design linguistically-sound pronunciation/grammar and vocabulary lessons
?Use appropriate assessment tools
?Design lessons for building intercultural skills
?Articulate long and short term objectives, goals, strategies and outcomes
?Assess own training performance
?Design and oversee self-directed learning activities
