Let me introduce our Centre, town and republic of
Bashkortostan(Russia).
Bashkortostan is in the middle of Russia. We also border upon
republics of Udmurtia, Tatarstan, districts of Samara, Perm,
Orenburg and Tchelyabinsk. On the east of our republic are
Ural Mountains.Our republic is in the very centre of Russian Federation. It is
west of
the Ural Mountains. Our republic is very good.I hope you will see it yourself.
The nature
of Bashkortostan is very variable, e.g. on the east you will see high mountains
with
deep forests, on the north you`ll see a lot of lakes, on the
south and west - hills (the beginners of Ural Mountains).
The forests and rivers of Bashkortostan are rich with wild
animals and fish. Russian people love hunting. As for
Bashkirian honey - it is the best in the world.
The capital of Bashkortostan - is Ufa. You will have a good
opportunity to see many cities and towns of Bashkortostan
and neighbouring Tatarstan during your holidays or weekends.
The Centre is located in the very centre of our town
Oktyabrsky. Oktyabrsky is about 200 km west of Ufa. We live
on the west border upon Tatarstan, on the river Ik. It is a
modern industrial town. It is famous for oil. The population
is about 130,000 people with most working in the oil
industry. You will find a thetre, concert halls, local
history and Bashkirian museums, cinemas, night clubs,
Internet clubs, casino, restaurants through out the town.
There are many parks, cafes around the town, the river and
lakes for swimming, fishing and skiing.Shopping is very
convenient,weather you go to the department stores, shops
you will find everything to your liking and at reasonable
prices, E.g. $2-1kg of meat,$0.3-cigarettes,$0.3-1 litre of
milk,$1-1 litre carton of juice,$3-1kg of ham,$0.2-bus
fare,$1-taxi fare,$3-10-lunch at the restaurant.The
residence of the town are friendly,hospitable,hard working.
The average temperature in winters is -15 - -20C below
zero;in summer the average temperature is +20 - +30C.
There are 2 flights a day Moscow -Ufa.Direct flight lasts 2
hours.By train it takes 36 hours.Travelling by the train
gives a possibility to watch almost half of Russia.
Bashkortostan is considered a political and criminal
peaceful place.
In the nearest future we are going to open the branches of
our centre in other towns of Bashkortostan. It is a
relatively new Centre. It was founded at the beginner of
this year. The students come to our Centre because it is the
only that has native English speakers as teachers in Oktyabrsky.
The students are highly motivated.
We need teachers to teach General English
for children and adults.
Number of students are about 100 in every town. We need 2 teachers in every
town.
Schedule: Monday-Friday (5 hours per day)
Salary: from $500.
Holiday pay is also provided.
All accommodations are provided. We rent an individual and
furnished flat for you near the school. It is no cost to
you.
Air fare after successful completion of the contract are paid.
Visa - an official invitation will be sent by the Centre
after receipt of passport photocopy.
Teachers should be outgoing and genuinely interested in
Russia though no experience of living in Russia is required.

All teachers will be met by a representative of the school.
