Nabin School is one of the renowned educational organizations in Bhaktapur, Nepal. Nabin school is conducted by HELP/Nepal "Human Environmental League for preservation" one of the social and not for profit making organization.

The school was established in 1990 due to the lack of public primary schools in the area. During its first year, its total enrolment was only 25 students. In 1998, it was upgraded to lower secondary level, and now plans to run classes up to 12th grade through a gradual annual upgrade. Its current enrolment is 250 students, with the ratio between boys and girls equally distributed.

Our school starts on march/april each year as a new session. We have 13 teaching & non-teaching staff as well as 5 founder members. Nabin school is private but not for profit making educational organization. The financial condition of the school right now is not so good, we run our school from the students fees and other donations. Which is not sufficient for us.

Nabin school welcomes volunteers each year as a teacher. We have linked with various organization in National and international organizations like Go-mad (Japan), Involment Volunteers (Australia), Cultural Destination Nepal, Gap Challenges (UK), Cosmopolitan Horizon (Canada), Passage Project (USA), Youth Millenium Project (Canada), Youth Millennium Project (Canada) and many mores likewise we are getting volunteers from the websites linked with Idealist, Volunteer abroad, volunteer match, University of Oregon, VOE, Google, yahoo, BeamUs.com etc. For these organization we normally get 30 -40 volunteers each year for short term (less than a month), middle term less than two months) and long term (more than 2 months).

In Nepal there is lack of quality education in rural and less urban areas. So our aim is to give them quality education in our country by experiences and developed countries people (foreigners). We also assisting rural mass providing free education to certain target group of students. We seeks dedicated westerner volunteers in our community to develop our country.

Our school as well as, other schools, universities and local communities beneficial from our past volunteers, the students, other people communicated and respond well to past volunteers and we believe it can a very positive and beneficial experience for all involved.
Due to the lack of proper financial position we have to charge certain amount. We are very sorry about that, all the money goes to the school account which we receive from volunteers, donations, and from donor agencies and at the end of the fiscal year we use these money to support the school activities as well as for communities also. We will send a copy of our reports at the end of the year to every one who are involved in this mission.
