Be a part of the first ever English-language zoo preschool! Children’s House is located in the heart of the Zoological Park in Magdeburg, Germany. Through our innovative curriculum, children venture daily into the animal kingdom and learn first-hand what it means to care for the animals, our ecology and our changing environment.

- We are the first Zoo-connected preschool worldwide.
- Children ages 3-4 learn in a bilingual English/German setting
- Children ages 5-6 receive instruction and care in an English immersion setting

The preschool is open daily from 8:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.

We are looking to fill the position of a native English-speaking preschool teacher for the 2008/2009 school year and beyond.

What do we expect?

He or She:

- Is a native English-speaker with excellent communication skills
- Is fluent in German, or willing to undergo intensive language training
- Has a degree or certificate in Early Childhood Education (or it’s equivalent) or is willing to take part in a 3 year part-time certification program while working.
- Has experience working as a preschool teacher or with young children, with a broad variety of relevant skills

He or She should be:

- Able to work as part of a team, be full of ideas and be a well-rounded individual
- Open-minded, respectful towards the children and cooperative with parents
- Interested in ongoing training and education
