I am seeking an ESL teaching position in Guangzhou, China. Part-time is preferred, but will also consider full-time positions. I will also consider other positions as well. My only major request is that I be allowed to find my own accommodations, I do not wish to live in an employer owned apartment.

I am the owner of a small online business. I have formed several partnerships with businesses and gift shops in the United States . I deal mostly in Oriental art. I assist my partner businesses in selling their inventory on the internet. I also edit their english catalogs and documents.

Position: Conversational English Tutor and Private Investigator.
In addition to my online business, I have, and still do, perform side jobs tutoring Russian and Chinese students, in a one-on-one setting, in conversational English. I was asked to give a lecture to the entire student body (2000+) of Shenze county high school, Hebei province in Nov, 2006. I accepted the invitation and spoke to the students about the importance of education and English language studies; afterwards I closed the speech with a questions & answers session with the students. The total time of the lecture was close to two hours and was volunteered (unpaid). I have spent two months in Shanghai as a freelance english tutor. I also use my skills and experience obtained through my studies and during my time as a Law Enforcement Officer. I perform basic background checks to detect criminal, prior residence, and civil history in potential employees and residential tenants. My usual clients are business owners, hiring managers and landlords.

I was accepted to the Florida State Law Enforcement Academy in 2003. Upon graduation I was appointed to the position of Deputy Sheriff, working under the Sheriff of Okaloosa County, Florida. My duties included enforcement of local, state and federal law, criminal investigation, locating and arresting suspects, traffic law enforcement, investigating traffic crashes, writing detailed reports and attending court proceedings. A large part of my job involved citizen contact and none criminal matters. I was forced to resign in Sept, 2004 after an accident damaged by upper spine. This injury poses no impairment in everyday life, but I am not recommended to perform the physical demands required of a Police Officer, i.e. having to use physical force to subdue an uncooperative suspect.
